LAST WEEK.. I helped with a fashion photoshoot for Beat Review magazine and really enjoyed aiding the process of creating some interesting vintage/high street statements for any one to recreate.

I’ve really learnt a lot with being involved with the fashion aspect of Beat Review and it’s all thanks to the lovely Alex Gravell- who I have borrowed these images off. We were really aiming to showcase something that implemented both the vintage style of the 1940s but not to make it look like a “dressing up” photoshoot. The setting for the shoot took place in Buffalo bar in Cardiff and I couldn’t resist sampling one of their beverages, .. perks of the job.

It’s been really difficult to multi-task freelance with being a final year student at Cardiff University- but better late than never ay!

At least all of this experience is finally setting a basis as to what I want to aim to do when I am older- directing me into fashion events, PR and marketing as the main areas of occupation to aim for.

With regards to the photoshoot, it felt really good to finally be involved with the production of creating an image, where I actually assisting the photographer for the day (only a small part, but still) I thought I’d actually “found my calling” when I was holding the light reflecting screen, a bit sad I know! Don’t judge me.
